A few busy weeks. mainiø went from a finished build sitting on a laptop to a fully reviewed, App Store approved app with a real date on the calendar: June 23.
Here is what shipped, what App Store review taught us, and what comes next.
What shipped
Early June, 2026
The core app is done. Nine learning paths cover the AI skills that actually matter at work, from prompting and mental models to tool choice, critical thinking, everyday workflows, and image creation. More than 140 short lessons, most of them a few minutes long.
Around that sits a daily habit loop and an AI Skill Map that builds a personalised plan around your role and goals. An AI News section decodes real AI stories into plain language so they are easy to follow.
It runs in Finnish and English, in light and dark mode. Free to start, with mainiø+ for people who want unlimited daily missions and to go deeper.
What shipped
- Nine learning paths, 140+ short lessons
- AI Skill Map personalised to your role
- AI News decoded into plain language
- Daily habit loop and progress tracking
- Finnish and English, light and dark mode
Three submissions to get approved
Late May to early June, 2026
Getting through review took three tries. The first was rejected for a missing Terms of Use link in the App Store metadata. Small fix, easy to miss.
The second got flagged on the Sign in with Apple flow. Apple wants it frictionless, so we pre-fill the name from the Apple credential and made the field optional. The third submission passed.
Every rejection made the app better. The version launching on June 23 is tighter and more compliant than what we first submitted, especially in light mode, where review surfaced a batch of white-on-white visibility issues we then fixed.
The website got a full overhaul
Early June, 2026
The site was already live, but it did not really show what mainiø is. So we rebuilt it from the ground up to put the actual product front and centre: real app screens, the learning paths, and the AI Skill Map. It now carries the full story in English and Finnish, with a privacy policy, terms, and a waitlist for launch day.
What is next
After June 23
June 23 is the start, not the finish line. A leaderboard and badges are already in the works for an update soon after launch, along with App Store screenshot polish and whatever the first real users tell us to fix first. iPad support comes in a later update.
If you are on the waitlist, you will hear from us on launch day. One email, no spam.
