Pronounced my-nee-oh

The name

mainiø comes from the Finnish word mainio, which means excellent. Finland is where the app was built, and the word felt right for what it is trying to do: help people get genuinely good at working with AI, not just familiar with it.

The ø is a nod to Nordic typography and a deliberate choice to make the name distinct. If you're searching for it without the special character, mainio or mainio app will find you here.

There's also a quieter layer to it. mainiø reads as main i/o — input and output, the core of how AI systems work. What you put in shapes what comes back. Learning to do that well, and to judge what comes back, is what the app is about.

The app

mainiø is an iPhone app for practical AI judgment at work and in everyday life. Not a course, not a video series. Short daily missions built around decisions people already face: evaluating outputs, choosing the right tool, writing prompts that work, catching errors before they matter.

The goal is to help you build the kind of calm, grounded confidence that lets you use AI well without second-guessing every result. Five minutes a day. Real situations. Clear progress.

Built by Deepform

mainiø is made by Deepform, a small product studio based in Finland. We build tools for how people actually work.
